Dipity Timelines
Great for research activities. Enables group sharing of ideas, collaboration within a whole class or smaller groups. Students working together to reach a common goal, with all posts accountable to individuals.

Takes a bit of time to get used to, but a lot of potential here.

Definitely addictive, and I am sure lot's of pupils would really enjoy it! Limited with it's characters, scenery and props, but good fun!

Initial thoughts on the Web 2.0 Tools
I have experience of Prezi already, and agree that it is a more exciting way to present feedback and ideas to an audience. I like that you can share the finished article with others for them to view at their own leisure.
I have never created a blog myself, and instead use facebook as a way of communicating with students in a secure environment. I believe finding ways to engage the 21st Century learner is really important within education today.
